When Apple invented the MagSafe charging port, they installed magnets into all of their laptops to hold your charging port in place. When they released the MagSafe2 and the MagSafe Adapter, the adapters also contain a magnet to hold your old charger in place.
KeyBit takes advantage of that fact by being just the right shape and made of a highly magnetic nickel-plated steel to grip tightly onto the adapter, holding it snuggly in place. When you want to take the MagSafe Adapter off of KeyBit, simply snap the adapter in either direction, if you try and pull straight, you will feel just how strong the magnet is.
Since apple introduced the MagSafe2, keeping an adapter around at all times is quite important if you use your laptop like I do.
Apple created the adapter and they sell them online and in their stores. You can also find them at Best Buys and other major retailers that sell Apple products. That said, you came to the right spot to by the adapters best friend :)
Oh, please. This Q+A session just got out of control. Definitely not cooler than you, with your KeyBit hangin' on your carabiner keychain.

BitWise was founded with the creation of KeyBit, but it was not the first and definitely not the last in a line of simple hardware solutions. If you are interested in finding out where BitWise is headed, subscribing for updates will be infrequent (quarterly) updates on potential projects, products, and musings.
